Ecritures du Monde

Babel-Europe festival ambitions to facilitate circulation and partnerships amongst artists within Europe. This year’s edition takes place in Pristina, an emblematic city and a new European capital. Ecritures du Monde will be present this October with three authors who will participate in the translation workshops of their plays into regional languages.

In November 2009 in Paris and in partnership with Espace Confluences, Ecritures du Monde organizes a week long festival on the new dramaturgies from Israël. The objective of the project is to present texts of new dramaturgies in Hebrew and Arabic for the first time in France.

In partnership with the Studio St Germain. This experimental cultural venue is animated by a French speaking director who made the choice to introduce French writing authors in Tchequia. A project of creative writing sessions by authors from  Ecritures du Monde is being elaborated and is to be supported by the local French Institute.

The Théâtre du Jour, a company established in Vienna and Budapest,  requested Ecritures du Monde to conduct creative writing and translation workshops in the cities of Budapest, Vienna and Bratislava. These workshops scheduled all through 2010-2011 involve 4 authors the first year. Their texts will be translated and lectured in the three capitals by the French speaking performers from the Théâtre du Jour.
